Where is SkipQ located?

SkipQ is located in Silicon Valley, California, USA.

Is the 8-week training program full time?

Yes, each student will have to commit to SkipQ full-time during the 8 weeks training program. The training will run from 8 AM to 5:30 PM every Monday - Friday. If you cannot commit this time, please consider joining our 16-weeks Part-Time training program.

What is the schedule for the 16-weeks Part-Time training program?

The daily schedule for part-time is flexible but you are expected to commit at least 4 hours per day on weekdays and 6 hours from 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays for 16 weeks. On weekdays, we recommend that you commit time in the evening from 6PM - 10PM. Live instructor sessions will take place in mornings and afternoons. You can join live sessions whenever you are able to. Recordings will be available for all sessions.

How much do I have to pay for SkipQ's training?

If you join our 8-weeks Full-Time training program, then the training is Free. In addition, Full-Time trainees who can prove financial need will be paid PKR 8,000 during the training.
If you join our 16-weeks Part-Time training program, then there is a joining fee of PKR 15,000.
Note that for both programs the primary cost of the training is paid by companies that will eventually hire you.

This sounds too good to be true. Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs. Our only requirement from you is that you have to work at the hiring company for at least 1 year after you train with us.

What is included in SkipQ’s training?

You will learn about production-grade programming on the world’s biggest cloud, AWS. You will learn about agile development and professional communication. If you follow the Cloud DevOps specialization, you will learn bleeding-edge DevOps technologies. If you follow the Full-Stack specialization, you will learn how to develop applications using MERN stack.

Can I take part in the program remotely?

Yes. The training program will be run remotely.

When does the next SkipQ cohort start?

Our next cohort for the 8-weeks Full-Time Training Program starts on September 19, 2022.

Can I take the training part-time?

If you are a working professional, you can join our 16-weeks Part-Time Training Program. Please note, the Full-Time training is completely free. For Part-Time training, you have to pay a joining fee of PKR 15,000.

If I am apply for part-time, when do I pay the joining fee?

You pay the joining fee in the first week of training.

How will SkipQ guarantee that I get a job?

At the end of the program, you will be guaranteed at least 3 interviews with top-tier companies. If you graduate from our program, we are confident you will easily pass these interviews. We are proud that 100% of SkipQ's graduates have received job offers from top tech companies.

Which companies will interview me once I graduate?

SkipQ partners with top-tier tech companies in Pakistan. If you have a dream company then we are likely working with them already. Trainees from our last cohort were placed in companies such as Xgrid and Roomy.pk

What prerequisites do I need to fulfil to sign up?

You need to have a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or basic sciences. Having prior experience in industry is a plus, but is not required. If you are currently working, please join our part-time program.

How do I give myself the best chance of getting selected?

Please apply and we will invite you to take our online programming test. You need to have basic Python or Javascript knowledge to pass the exam. To prepare for our Python exam, please learn Python from this Youtube video. To prepare for our Javascript exam, please learn Javascript from this series of Youtube videos. Solve Easy and Medium level Python/Javascript problems on Leetcode.

What resources do I need to follow the program remotely?

You will need access to a computer and a working internet connection.

If I get into a SkipQ cohort, am I guaranteed to graduate?

No, this is a rigorous training program and we only graduate trainees that hit our bar. This high bar is our commitment to the companies that you will work in, once you graduate.
