Our customers' testimonials
Xgrid provides a range of secure cloud infrastructure, devOps, cloud native application development and cloud operations services to top startups and Fortune 500 companies. SkipQ has significantly reduced the pain of hiring skilled software developers. While fresh graduates generally don’t know cloud or related concepts (e.g. CI/CD), SkipQ trainees were skilled in these topics. We hired all 3 SkipQ trainees we interviewed and would love to hire trainees from SkipQ’s next cohorts! - Saad Arshed, COO - Xgrid.
Roomy is a rapidly growing hospitality logistics tech SaaS company based in Islamabad. We are continuously seeking software developers as we build a product suite to automate and streamline business operations and improve experiences for our customers. SkipQ’s trained engineers passed our hiring bar. We look forward to hiring SkipQ trainees again! - Abdul Rehman Malik, CTO - Roomy.pk.
Our trainees' testimonials
“Working with SkipQ was a life-changing experience for me. It was challenging and in turn rewarding. Their curriculum is well designed and well-focused. You will have a hands-on learning experience by following scrum frameworks, daily standups, and weekly demos. They not only focus on technical skills but on soft skills too, they prepare you for interviews by taking mock interviews. Once you qualify for their course, they will arrange interviews with big IT companies. I was able to secure my job at Xgrid as a software engineer just by taking their 8-week Cloud DevOps Program.” - Muhammad Asghar Ali Qureshi (SkipQ graduate and Software Engineer at Xgrid)
“What’s amazing is that I enjoyed the journey more than the destination. I successfully pivoted from consultant to a hands-on engineer thanks to SkipQ, and landing a job with a company like Roomy is beyond my expectations. As someone with a Machine Learning background, I’m telling you, DevOps is fun.” - Muhammad Mubashirullah Durrani (SkipQ graduate and Software Engineer at Roomy).
“I feel very proud to be part of the first batch of SkipQ and get the opportunity to work with people from the best software companies of the world. As much as my journey was challenging to work in a simulated industrial environment, it was an amazing learning experience towards DevOps and aws services. SkipQ helped me to get a clear vision of my career along with scaling-up my skills to an industrial level and led my way to Roomy as a software Engineer." - Saira Fatima (SkipQ graduate and Software Engineer at Roomy).
SkipQ in the News
I would like to make mention of at least one Pakistani ed-tech/training startup ‘SkipQ’ (https://www.skipq.org/) that has identified this gap [between industry and academia] and developed a successful business model that addresses it. Currently they are focused on meeting the demand for cloud computing skills in the market. They select cohorts of fresh graduates, train them on a tool/ platform and contemporary development workflows for about six weeks. In this time, they bridge the gap between what they know and what employers need them to know, while paying them a small stipend. Those who negotiate the programme successfully have a job waiting for them. This model is working so well that multiple cohorts are pre-booked for hiring by employers. - Ayesha Razzaque, Technical Advisor at Ministry of Federal and Professional Training.
